Small wedding at Baker park?

Yes, I do small ceremonies photography for couples who want special memories about their event. This beautiful couple chose Baker park for their registration with only few family members and the very close friends. The wedding officiant was a very nice lady from Calgary Activate Ur Life Spiritual Ministry. This Baker park wedding was blessed with an awesome weather  although the smoke gave such a dreamy effect to some images. But I really like it! I find it very dreamy and romantic!

What does “elopement wedding” mean?

Usually this is small ceremonies with a limited amount of guests or relatives invited. It means that a couple chooses unexpected places or simple way of celebrating their marriage. I am personally in love with this kind of weddings as I had exactly the same way of having my important day. This is some kind of freedom when you can do what you want the way you want it!

This couple is very artistic so I wasn’t surprised with their choices. Although it wasn’t the smallest wedding in my career but it was very cute. And simple. And beautiful! Baker park is very attractive place with a nice view and limited public. The best choice for an intimate marriage ceremony!

What do you need to get the ceremony in the park?

You need to check the city of Calgary website for any additional information about the park you choose for your ceremony. Some parks require a license or the fees to be payed. For example, one of my favourite parks, Reader Rock Garden, needs the permit to be able to have the wedding ceremony and the session there. So, be careful and respectful when you decide to have an intimates small wedding in the park.
